The Master of Public Health (MPH) online programme is based on a longstanding tradition of academic teaching and research in public health. Academic entry qualification overview We require a minimum of an Upper Second class honours degree or overseas equivalent . Significant relevant research or professional experience may be considered in place of an academic qualification lower than an Upper Second. English Language International students must demonstrate English proficiency. We ask for English language proof from applicants from non-majority English-speaking countries. Specifically, we require a minimum of: IELTS : minimum 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing TOEFL: 90 internet-based (with 22 in each component) You must be IT literate to complete these highly interactive courses online and have access to a computer with a printer and a reliable internet connection. Assessment will be based on written assignments, posters and oral presentations, multiple choice questions (MCQ) and short-answer question (SAQ) examinations.

MPH Public Health is currently available for one year full-time, or two years part-time distance learning options. This programme is directly delivered through the University’s online learning portal, you will have access to video and audio recordings of all onsite lectures, as well as video tutorials for any lab based elements of the course. All written assignments will be submitted through the portal, while poster and oral presentations will be assessed via Skype. Exams can be sat onsite or you can arrange to sit these at a suitable venue more local to you. You are encouraged to interact with teaching staff and other students in online discussion forums, join group activities and be part of the Institute’s student community.
