Mandatory Units: Introduction to Practical Dermatology, Skin Lesions, Special Cutaneous Sites, Inflammatory Dermatoses, Environmental Challenges in Practical Dermatology, Demographic Subgroups in Practical Dermatology, Paediatric Dermatology, Cutaneous Surgery and Drug Reactions, Sunshine and the Skin, Urticaria, Psyche and the Skin and Uncommon Infections , Dermatoses of Specific Sites, Ages or Skin Types, Introduction and Common Dermatological Problems, Inflammatory and Papulosquamous Disorders

Module 1 - Dermatology in Clinical Practice Overview Module 2 - Lumps, bumps and skin cancer Module 3 - Lesions at specific sites Module 4 - Inflammatory Dermatoses Module 5 - Skin Infections Module 6 - Dermatology in Specific Populations

Assessment will be based on written assignments, posters and oral presentations, multiple choice questions (MCQ) and short-answer question (SAQ) examinations, and a full laboratory project write-up. Dissertation : 10,000 - 15,000 words.

One Year - 120 Credits Undertaking a Diploma Programme is a serious commitment, requiring weekly contact hours in addition to numerous hours of independent learning and research in order to progress at the required level. Two Year - 240 Credits Undertaking a Diploma Programme is a serious commitment, requiring weekly contact hours in addition to numerous hours of independent learning and research in order to progress at the required level. When coursework or examination deadlines are approaching independent learning hours may need to increase significantly. TWO YEAR BLENDED LEARNING FEES £7500.00

Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology (DDV) is currently available for one year 120 credits or two years 240 credits blended learning options. This programme is directly delivered through the awarding body's online learning portal, you will have access to video and audio recordings of all onsite lectures, as well as video tutorials for any lab based elements of the course. All written assignments will be submitted through the portal, while poster and oral presentations will be assessed via Skype. Exams can be sat onsite or you can arrange to sit these at a suitable venue more local to you. You are encouraged to interact with teaching staff and other students in online discussion forums, join group activities and be part of the Institute’s student community.
