This program intends to impart to the postgraduate student, professional competence in diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted diseases, common skin diseases, cosmetic dermatological diseases and leprosy independently. Candidates must independently be able to attend medical emergencies related to skin, venereal diseases and leprosy and adopt preventive measures at individual and community levels against communicable and non-communicable venereal diseases, skin diseases, leprosy and other such ailments. They should be qualified with skills to impart necessary knowledge and laboratory skills to other medical or paramedical faculties.

Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology (DDV) is currently available for one year 120 credits or two years 240 credits blended learning options. This programme is directly delivered through the awarding body's online learning portal, you will have access to video and audio recordings of all onsite lectures, as well as video tutorials for any lab based elements of the course. All written assignments will be submitted through the portal, while poster and oral presentations will be assessed via Skype. Exams can be sat onsite or you can arrange to sit these at a suitable venue more local to you.
